Tampa Bay declines. After what they paid for Jeannot, they aren't trading him for two pure rentals. And Jeannot is a better player than either of them.

Thompson, Cozens, Mittelstadt, Krebs, Kulich, Ostlund, Savoie, Wahlberg. Not to mention Gauthier listed as a winger. Cute though. If they traded Zegras that leaves them with 2, one of which has been deployed at wing and looked better there.

Okposo is on pace for 20 goals and has more points this year than the entirety of Jeannots games with Tampa, and more than Jeannot in each of his last 2 seasons. From the 4th line on a Sabres team that has not made the playoffs. Okposo is also not currently hurt, same with Girgensons

Doesn't change the fact they are both pure rentals. Teams that are battling for a playoff spot don't trade valued roster players w/ term for rentals. If the Bolts want either guy, they'll offer up a draft pick or a prospect.
