Here's the thing with Larsson. They don't have anyone to replace him and already have Schultz as a UFA RHD this year. Ottavainen might get some NHL looks next season and possibly full time action but he can't replace what Larsson brings. Seattle isn't in the business of losing games, moving Larsson makes them a substantially worse team. Considering the extra year, even less reason to move him now and also retain for this season and next. Only things of value in the trade are the first and second round picks, not worth it for Seattle in my opinion.
