Toronto would be silly to give up a first for Dumba.

No argument but we would get a high second back from Arizona. The pick difference is probably from range 20-30 to 33-40. In terms of likelihood the player becomes an NHL talent are basically the same at that point.

late 1st vs early 2nd - AZ wants better draft positions not more picks - think AZ be fine @50% too. some GM is going to overpay for dumba. he doesnt fit in AZ style, not ragging on TML (crazy offensive talented team) but that is a very non-physical team, outside reaves (and he wont see much ice playoff time) TML needs some physicality from the blueline .

If all I'm getting is moving up a handful of spots, keep Timmins and the fifth and give me Chadwick or Grebyonkin.

That is actually worth it I would think. I am not a GM to think of their values but Chadwick or Grebyonkin is a good counter offer. I would prefer to offer Chadwick but that is based on my idea of value.

I like Grebyonkin more, too, but AZ need defensemen to fill out the system. Soderstrom is going to graduate or leave. Kolyachonok is probably ready next year. Kesselring has turned his cup of coffee into a full time job already. Chadwick is at least ready for the AHL next year.

I can't believe I am defending TML D physicality but dude watch some games...Benoit and McCabe have been just fine...warriors I would say!

I do think that although Dumba has not been great he is worth the risk as he can actually play with Rielly.

watched last nights game, AZ struggles in Ozone (and keller was out) and still had way more Ozone time. not saying dumba is going to be answer but do you think TML current D is getting them deep in playoffs esp against physcial teams?

No, not even close...also bottom 6 is not a cup team bottom 6...oh and core 4 (now 3 with Tavares decline) or "elite" guys seem to fall apart in the playoffs

taveras honestly forgot he was out there he was invisible and the bottom 6 think you just hope doesnt give up anything cause theyre not scoring anything. you know your coach better but only can do so much with roster given
