Rangers are getting the better deal here but still don't think they can afford to trade Schneider. Trouba will be gone in 2 years and we need to continue to groom Schneider for that 2nd pair. NYR wouldn't be opposed to parting with Othmann + 1st if Mittelstadt is extended and they can find a taker for Goodrow to facilitate his extension.

No Quinn, no Benson, no Ostlund, no 2024 first -- no, thanks. It would take one high-quality asset to interest Anaheim. Four lesser assets don't add up to Trevor Zegras.

Then trade completely useless to Buffalo so no thanks but respect and understand Schneider untouchable

Trading mittelstadt for a forward prospect makes no sense. We have cozens, Krebs, Quinn, peterka, Rosen, kulich, savoie, ostlund, Benson all fro. The last 5 drafts and several other forwards under contract

Unless BUF would want lower end defensive piece it wouldn't work for either side then. I agree the only trade for Mitts that makes sense is a defensive upgrade. Trouba?

Not untouchable, just doesn't work due to lack of depth.

I think if they trade Zegras in offseason, this is will highest his value would be. He is having a bad year and value isn’t get better. If he can turn around season and end strong I would be happy to make it this years first or higher prospect.

I mean u are thinking two years down the road for a second pairing guy? You are telling me in two years you have no faith an another prospect won’t step up and take that role or be able to make a trade for second pairing guy. I think mitts will make u a much better team next two years and that has a lot of value.

Fair enough but only Mitts trades will need to benefitt team and our right d weaknesses is a huge red mark on our management and this trade doesn't help our deficiencies

Yes, we have 0 RHD prospects and almost no cap space to find an upgrade on him. Like I said, value is in NYR favor but we have so many F prospects coming up in the next 2 years and having 4 good C/LW already makes the trade redundant in a sense.

Agreed for sure, I was thinking shopping Mitts to try for Weegar, Andersson, or Carlo. That'd be solidify the defense and would just leave calling up the young studs to finalize the roster. Schneider wouldn't be the best fit at the moment since he is still developing into a top 4 role. Sabres need a guy who is experienced who can step in right now imo.

Rangers say nope. Schneider isn't available and not interested in Middle's next contract, you overpay him.

Why zegras? We have offensively talented, defensively suspect centers already, signed long term. I guess I just don't see it.

Him on Cozens wing sounds dynamic. Can always have that much talent.
