Zegras doesn’t feel like a Rod guy and Verbeek isn’t accepting that trade

I feel like he could be effective in RBA system with just a slight tweaking to his game... thou the deal would need to be reworked

Jarvis gets north of $6m
Necas gets south of $6.5m
Pesce isn't going to be a Hurricane almost certainly (unless he's willing to accept somewhere close to his current deal)
Alexander Nikishin is going to be in Russia for another year
Merzlikins is not gonna be a Hurricane unless his cap hit for the Hurricanes is under $3m

Given what the Hurricanes emphasize as a franchise... I see him getting between like $6.4-6.7m. Jarvis is probably going to be the larger contract.

That is because Jarvis is a much more complete player than Necas and the organization values defensive ability and completness. Like Jarvis plays on PP1 and PK1. Jarvis has also become part of the core during his ELC

You think Jarvis will get a term deal? Of course more money is on the table if theres term. Wondering what that would look like. Necas as a higher end Tippett comparable was my benchmark.

I think Jarvis will probably get a 6 or 7-year deal at probably $7m. I think he can be a consistent 65-70 point scorer who can PK. With the rising cap that should look like an amazing deal by year three or 4.
A higher-end Tippet is a great comparison and I think he ends up at $6.5 or $6.6

Canes pass on the Anaheim deal. WAY too much for players that don't do much.

That Columbus deal is awful. Freddie's better than Elvis and will be back before the deadline. Peeke is a cap dump, he SUCKS
