    This team is so hosed, it's insane how much of a bind they're in. Trade Guentzel, lose a top 6 F. The team needs forward depth, but has too many bad contracts. Acciari and Eller have not been worth the money.

    What's the incentive for the Kings to give up a young roster player with 181 games' experience and under team control for at least four more seasons in exchange for two third-round draft picks?

    The way they've utilized him throughout his career, including being scratched recently, hint towards the possibility that they move on from him. Their forwards all play a somewhat* 200 foot game, he really doesn't, but he's got the skill to be in the top 6, but won't crack it in LA. So he's stuck in checking roles that aren't his strong suit. It's tough to gauge his value.
