Edmonton doesn't have the Cap and if they did a 1st + a 4th for 2 4th liners is a lot. I get Dowd is good at his job but, he'd not worth that much. I'd say a 2nd rounder for both is fair

Mantha at 50% retention is also worth about a 2nd no extra 3rd

Lindgren + a 2nd for Holtz is fair in terms of value IMO but, trading a top prospect for a backup goalie without a proven track record as a starter isn't a good bet to make

Edmundson to Colorado is fair, not sure what Colorado's cap situation is

Pacioretty to Vancouver is fair too, I think Washington should be able to keep the 5th

Specifically in regards to the NJ trade, I think the idea is that Lindgren would become the starter in NJ. Any blips in Lindgren's numbers are a result of the caps defense being terrible. Lindgren is making insane saves every game he plays. That being said, I cannot pin down exactly what Holtz's value is, and I'm not even sure they accept this trade.

If the Cap can pay the bonus I'd do it but I'm not sure they're allowed

I was more trying to say that Lindgren despite some very good play hasn't been a #1 ever and it's risky to give up a top level prospect for a guy you don't know will settle things in the crease.
I'd say Holtz is worth a little more than a middle 1st round pick and change, his position in the draft and play in the AHL is the thing that keeps his value up but, he hasn't developped any chemistry with Hischier or Hughes, still young so hope is there

Bonuses are paid as they are met, and since Pacioretty has already met all his bonuses, they've all been paid. The bonuses are then counted towards the teams salary cap the next season, and I'd assume since WSH paid the bonuses they'd also get stuck with the cap hit from them, though being traded could move the bonus overage to the new team (not exactly sure how that part works).
