Also, that Edmonton trade could remove Jarry and it would be fair. Campbell is on his way to buy-out city

Honestly if they can somehow dump Smith and Rakell without retention, I think I'd keep Pettersson(maybe Jarry) and go for it again next year. You'd have so much cap space to actually make this a good team I think. I wouldn't be giving up any more pricks/prospects - but there's some solid free agent guys out there this year

I don’t see anyone worth a crap signing here. Jake and Reinhart are the only really good forwards out there. No one else would move the needle.

Yeah they're obviously the top tier. I just think there's a decent amount of middle 6 guys that could give good depth to a team that has clearly struggled in that regard. But obviously it depends on what those guys could be signed for.
