The Preds aren't trading their 1st; the goal there is to give the existing kids experience with a push for the playoffs but not buy overmuch.

Wondering if their hot stretch lately makes trotz think otherwise? Hence why I used the word undercover...would be a trade that helps both teams...

Preds won't be big buyers this year. Especially taking young cost controlled guys off our roster for rentals. Chychrun is a bad fit for Nashville. We need a top pairing RD upgrade, Chychrun has been exposed playing top minutes whereas Fabbro most commonly plays with Josi and compliments him quite well right now.

Chychrun doesn't have as much value as you think. Everyone thought he had a ton of upside coming from Arizona and Ottawa's usage exposed him as a defensively weak, 2nd pairing, 5v5 offensive guy. Still valuable, but nowhere near as much as Ottawa fans expect to get back.
