so the avs give up a 1st pick for Wennberg,your definately the Mox of canuck fans.why dont you and Mox just make trades to each other,your both on the same wave length. Monahan brought a 1st,lol.

The going rate for 25% retained is a 4th & for 50% retained is a 3rd from what I have seen so far.

AZ only has 2 retention slots available and are likely to use them to facilitate trades that actually help them.

I think proper compensation would be 2nd to Seattle with 50% retained and probably Chicago as a retaining team with a 5th going there to retain another 50%...

Not crazy about the fit or player for Avs it's more of a 3C and fall back if they can't find a 2C.

Colorado doesn't have a 2nd to give, or a 3rd. New York is clearly in on Wennberg and does have a 2nd. Colorado according to reports is definitely in on Wennberg. Given what resources they have they need to offer a package better than New York's 2nd at the very least. That means either a quality prospect or their 1st. Whether you agree with the value or not that's what the market is shaking up to.
