I get it if you don't think Dowd is worth a 1st, but he's worth much more than your offer of three Slim jims and a bag of Fritos

Start the offer with the 2024 1st and Broberg and I'm not even that high on him

For walker it starts a '1' and ends with an 'st' with Ceci included. Flyers already have a logjam and will require more of an overpay to acquire him. Remove Ceci and its fair value imo.

Switch Kane to Broberg and you got it. I'm not sure why the Oilers would want to get rid of Kane. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Taking Kane = non-starter.

I don't see a scenario where a team would retain on a player beyond this year and take back an extremely similar contract unless the retention was just offsetting the cap difference. Not sure there's any desire to broker that type of cap movement for the Blues on the player included.

Welcome to Cap Friendly!

Please no for Walker. He is not that much of an upgrade over Ceci imo. I rather go for a better DFD, or a 2-way guy that is better defensively than Ceci, not someone who may be a touch better. Trading Kane also makes no sense for both squads, as we will need him for the playoffs, and if St. Louis is trading Buchnevich, they will not want a 5M contract in Kane coming back. Also, he has a NMC, and doubt he waives.

With Ceci? Going to cost more. Philly says no.
