We obviously aren't doing that skinner trade.

Big yikes

It's interesting, but I doubt CHI takes on Skinner's contract for a 2nd. We have plenty of cap space. So, retention or not doesn't matter. Term matters. BUF is overflowing with prospects, to the point where they almost can't take on anymore, and CHI needs higher quality players. Can you guess where I am going with this?

Youre a fool if you don’t think Adams would do this

I like the signings and the Arizona trade. I figure we've got Skinner for one more year at least, pegula has to be behind giving him that asinine contract, I don't see him paying to get rid of it. Plus, his buyout is better after next season.

Paying to get rid of a player and still retain 4 million? No.

He's gonna have 25 goals in this down year. He's not lucic at the end of his deal

You still have over 5 million in cap space by the way. Keep him and dump clifton

Stephenson obviously isn't signing that btw

It wasn't asinine. He was a ufa with all the leverage. It was maybe 1 to 1.5 million too much.

If covid didn't happen you'd see 10-15 more wingers making more than him than already do and the cap would be 7-10 million higher than it is now

He just had the best season of his career last year.

Disagree. And he was negotiating against himself, Skinner wanted to play here or toronto, and toronto couldn't afford him if they wanted to. One dimensional wingers don't get 9 million, it was probably the worst contract in the league before the ink dried.

I guess we will have to disagree then

I don't see Skinner waiving for Chicago. He's never been to the playoffs. Why leave Buffalo when they are so close to getting back to the playoffs to go to Chicago, who likely won't make it before his contract is up.

I also don't see Chicago taking him for a 2nd, even with the retention.
