I guess it's guaranteed money, but why would Domingue sign this, there's almost 0 chance he plays NHL games behind Shesterkin and Quick.

He must like playing in Hartford. If he thinks he's gonna be an AHLer, there are worse places to be.......for instance travel

Just noticed it's a 1 way deal, so I don't think he really cares where he plays.

Leafs did the same with Jones this season. Paid him his NHL salary in the AHL. An advantage the Leafs and some NHL teams have is the AHL and NHL team are in the same city, So a player who might be an "up and down" player doesn't having to worry about moving. Important to so the older fringe NHLer who have a wife and children, They don't have to change jobs or schools.

Yeah, Montreal is the same situation with Laval/Montreal.

Never understood why TB gave up on him. All he does is sign for minimum go to the AHL come up and play well.
