Pittsburgh does feel like a great fit for Norris.

Nothing really to lose if he can’t get healthy & put it together. & everything to gain

I think Norris is a good fit for the Pens but ottawa is not doing this. They’re not trading Norris as a cap dump or even at net 0 value

Olivier Joseph is the type of player I think the Bruins avoid. I think Peeke will either show he was an astute pick up by Boston or will be worth less than this. My guess is he will play fairly well, but will still struggle from an analytics standpoint

Bad trade for OTT. For one, they don't need yet another LD. Already have too many. Re-work the deal centered with Karlsson at 50% retained.

I struggle to see ottawa moving 1st round picks tbh especially likely losing the 2026 1st and already having a poor prospect pool

This trade is stupid for OTT, but Friedman just said yesterday that he expects OTT to make more changes than any other team in the league this offseason and even said he expects OTT to at least investigate a Karlsson deal. I like OTT and Karlsson so I'd love for him to get a redemption tour and chance to compete. At 50% retained he is excellent value.

Soemtning that would interest me would be :

Chabot + Batherson

For Gourde, Larsson, Dumoulin and 13th overall

Helps us longterm with the prospect pool and short term with the vets

We'd retain max 2.5 mil. 50% is too much

That's fair, but doubt Dubas gets any value back without max retention. Also not sure if Karlsson is even going to be flexible on getting traded in the first place or if FSG will pay that much in dead money.

Dubas said he considers him part of the core. He just moved here with his kids, I don't see him getting traded unless the offer is really good or makes sense. He also has to waive which is another thing.

He also left San Jose specifically because they were rebuilding and didn't want to go through a rebuild. Now he is entering a franchise that might very well be starting yet another rebuild. If he wants to compete for a SC, he needs to waive. Because it isn't happening here in his career.

I’m a Leaf fan so if I was their Gm I’d probably give up a 1st and Voit for him no doubt.
