Avs probably decline. LOC just gives them exactly what they want and on such a good deal that they have no real reason to move him until or unless they can't afford him when it comes to a new deal, and then Tampa won't be able to afford him either. He'd likely only be traded for that reason or as part of a bigger deal for a much better piece and tbh they don't really have one they need to add at present.

-I don't the Kings bite - they already have Mike Anderson and Vlad Gavrikov signed next season at a combined $10M, not to mention Drew Doughty hanging around with an $11M AAV. Not saying Hedman isn't worth it, just saying that I would think the Kings are more interested in shoring up the goaltending situation and extending Quinton Byfield and they could use the assets and cap space to address those issues.

-I could see the Isles making this type of move, especially if they wind up trading JG Pageau. Move Cizikas up to 3C/PK1 and use Glendening as 4C/PK2 and win every faceoff ever.

-Keep the pick, wait a week. Only team that Hanifin can sign an 8 year deal with now is Vegas - you have to be on the roster at the deadline to be eligible for that, so trading for rights won't really do anything here.

-I like Andersson, but not this much - this is two 1sts, a solid & cheap bottom pair player, and one of your best remaining prospects for two years of a solid 3/4 type. I think you could aim higher with this package but also think it's a moot point because I don't think you get the picks from LA.

-I'd defer to Avs fans here, but I think there needs to be just a little more here. LOC is a solid third liner on an affordable deal, and Colorado is cap strapped too - they're gonna need value to pry him out.

Columbus did it last year to get the 8th year on Severson from Jersey, so it's doable. It did, however, cost the Jackets a 3rd to get the 8th year signed off on by the Devils and would be unlikely to be less in this instance

Yeah, would have to be a sign and trade - I think Vegas would do it but would 100% point to that Severson deal as the cost of doing business - I'd honestly do that, it's worth the extra year and the lowered AAV.

Has Headman really fallen off that bad? Don't think LA does that since it is only 1 year of Headman, you're just paying for the name

I would love for LA to get Hedman, but unless Tampa is taking back PLD, there's no way the money works.
