Jack Quinn is more important to the offense than Anderson currently is for the defense imo

Also would have to pay Byram and andersson in back to back years.

Definitely wouldn't be ideal to have that much cap tied up on the backend

I would do this Deal, worry about cap latter. Your getting Samuelsson's 4.2mill off the books and if Mangiapane doesn't work he's off the books next year anyway

Trading away quality players like Quinn shouldn't be the way they fit in prospects

It's not like the player coming back with Andersson is a slouch. Guy popped 35 goals a couple years ago

I'm aware that he's a good player but currently as it stands we need Quinn more than we need Andersson.

Why ?

When he is in the lineup, the Sabres offense is just overall better. I believe him being injured is a big contributing factor as to why the offense is struggling this year.

Team was one of the most productive offensive teams last year. The main problem with Buffalo is the inability to play defense. Andersson >>>> Quinn all day

Their defense has been average this year. They can’t score this year a lot has to do with Jack Quinn only playing 12 games this year.

That very well could be true, or it's roster build and personal use by the Coaching. Quinn has had 2 major leg injuries and he wasn't the best skater already. I like Quinn, but the Sabres have the forward Prospects to do this. They would have one of the Best Top 4 D's in Hockey.

Really depends on the Cap going up, and what they do with Skinner. Most of these players coming of there ELC'S are gonna get bridge Deals. Really depends on how Adams finishes his Puzzle

You guys still need a capable top 4 RHD. Any LHD playing their off-side is not as good as playing their natural left side.

Offensively, sure he'd be better. Makes sense because you get your shots and passes off faster and you don't need to reposition yourself for a one-timer. No chance Dahlin plays a better defensive game on the right side. He's already poor defensively, no chance he's better defending on his backhand.
I never said dman aren't capable of playing on their off-side, I just said they're not as good.

Dahlin is not poor defensively. He is quite good and yes he's better on the right side

I will agree with this...playing his off side Dahlin has given up breakaways a number of times the last couple of years bc he didn't stop the puck at the point. Anderson definitely makes our Top 4 round out. Conversely as pointed out above the cap has to be taken into consideration. Also, don't know if Adam's would trade his 1st rder this year. There's +'s and -'s for the Sabres in a trade like this.
