I don’t think the value is an issue here, if anything it’s an overpay, the trade just doesn’t make sense for NJ. They’re more likely to keep Holtz as a cost controlled forward (hopefully not 4th liner in a new scheme next year) or use him in a trade for a 1A in net

As long as Holtz is on ELC (through next year) there is no reason to move him unless we are filling a need. Maybe a 3C...or upgrade at LD3...or goalie. But for tweeners and picks, I doubt they do anything until he hits an RFA period.
