Pinto is untouchable

Pinto seems to be getting better every game he plays in the NHL. I don’t know where his ceiling is but I feel like they ride it out for a while even though this deal is tempting. The question is whether they feel like he can out compete Norris for 2C and take less money.

Ultimately the Sens go Stutzle-Pinto-Grieg/Ostapchuk (one moves to wing) at C for now. Norris becomes the piece to move.

Yeah Pintos game is already more complete than Norris, you can tell watching them both that Pinto is a much smarter player. Im hoping Norris can make a full recovery but still think Pinto will beat him out for that 2C spot, he just plays a much better overall well rounded game. Would be interesting to see Norris on the wing, still think there's a spot for him on this team if he can just stay healthy.

I dont think there is anything tempting about this deal. We are selling off a fantastic long term and short term piece for 2 sizeable downgrades impact wise relative to pinto and a late 1st in a draft we already have 2 in. With norris having had another shoulder surgery, theres pretty much nothing the team should be trading Pinto for.
