Thats not what Fitz meant when he said he was going big game hunting, he was talking about getting a top goalie

Fitz would be stupid not to jump at this if there's a hint he's available, because he's ideal to play with Hughes and Bratt. What the price will be... well... that's anyone's guess. There's what the Devils are willing to pay vs what Ottawa's willing to accept.

As for goalies, everyone thinks NJ's gonna kill three years of first round picks for one, and they're flat out delusional. Fitzy's gonna scavenge for goalies and just gonna pick up fringe guys until one of them works. The only ones I see him making decent offers for are Askarov or Saros out of Nashville. There's a lot of fool's gold out there right now. Beyond that, there's no one worth spending their first round pick on.
