Nah I bet he doesn't. Possible that he just hates NJ but I think it's more likely that he didn't want to leave a contender for a team whose playoff hopes are rapidly dwindling. He clearly loves Boston but he probably knows that the Bs can't afford both him and Sway next year. Devils are a great offseason destination but a terrible midseason destination.

Ullmark blocked going to the Kings. Probably one of the most desired locations. Pretty much a guarantee he isn't going to make it possible for Boston to move him. He can just pick the teams that can't/won't acquire him and it'll largely be a full NTC. And NJD, like LAK, are teams that he'll list. Not that hard to sit down with his agent and go through each team to determine the possibilities.

Avs seem perfectly happy with what Wood has done and they locked him up long term cheaply enough. Can't see them moving him unless it's a can't refuse deal.

I do not expect Ullmark to waive for any team in his NTC unless that team is willing to give him a lucrative extension at the time of the trade. NJD fans, how do you feel about the return of Chase Stillman and a 2nd for a pending UFA goalie?

I would not trade for that Miles Wood contract. I like the player, but 2.5mx5 is an albatross of a contract for someone you plan to put on your 4th line.

He doesn’t need to, because Don Sweeney doesn’t even confirm the trade list for that offer.

I don’t think he blocked a trade to NJD. There was some talk of Devils asking about him at deadline…but it sounds like it didn’t get far as they were tied to three team deal. (Also unlikely that NJD is one eastern conference team on his NTC list…Teemu Selanne was last guy to block trade to Jersey).

He didn’t want to be across the country from his kids and the flight is particularly long for his parents. Not sure if that goes away with an extension and moving his kids to a new city.

According to the experts, 14 teams on his 16 team no-trade list are in the Western Conference. Pretty sure the other trade he blocked was to Ottawa.
