This in my opinion is probs what San Jose looks like next year but I’d put celi at 3C and granny at 2C

I guess money talks (& maybe beach) but hard to believe any ‘coveted’ FA signs in San Jose - they are and look to be for at least 3 more years epically non competitive .

I hope you guys do win the draft lotto. If you do, be prepared for Mack to go back to BU for another Beanpot run.

Yeah we would need to overpay, but let’s say couture retires, and even if we get celi or smith signs, we simply need another center. We can afford overpaying someone for a few years

He isn't getting football money but he has enough to make a decision that isnt purely money driven. I think with max bonuses it's around 3m playing in the nhl. It's a lot of money but I can see him wanting another run. Bedard having no support might be a motivator to wait another year. I am wrong more than I am right, time will tell. For your need at center, I would look for established guys who you can justify overpaying short term because they will foster the culture of the next era of Sharks.

Yeah, especially if couture retires/cannot play I feel out of desperation we need to sign a center for next season. then eventually down the middle it could be Smith - Celibrini (I pray) - Decent UFA we sign

I see the sharks taking 1 year salary dumps or young FA. The only higher dollar FA will be to get to the cap floor and be 1 year trade bait deals.

The push to win will be in 2025-26 and onward.

Even if this happens Grier should be shopping for cap dump opporunties for cap pressed teams. 2 wingers and a C. Maybe even a RD.

Reilly Smith plus a 2025 3rd
Jack Campbell with a 1st and 3rd
Dvorak and a 2025 2nd
Sheary and a 2025 3rd
