Am I the only one who wouldn't trade Newhook (and his amazing 2.9M value deal) for Zegras straight up? I like what I see from Newhook in all zones and I like the effort I see night after night. Zegras is high risk, high reward. Newhook is a sure thing.

Newhook is a worst player, even if it’s debatable. But he is better defensively. His ceilling is probably a 70 pts guy, his floor 55. Zegras ceilling is 80 pts, but his floor is 60 pts. So the real question is who would you rather have : a 60 pts forward, good defensively and on a great contract or a 70 pts forward, absolutely awful defensively and also on a good contract

I guess I think Newhook is a better all around player. Certainly worse offensively, but a top 6 forward at 2.9M leaves a lot of room for a big acquisition.

Most importantly: Zegras takes nights off and Newhook doesn't.
