I like Bennett, but I would not give up a possible Top 10 pick plus Rosen for him.

I mean the trade would have to come after the season, we'd know what the pick is by then

True, I just don't see even using that 1st, Rosen is ranked in the Top 50 prospects, believe he's 47 or 48. Maybe if we swapped 1st with them. But don't think he's worth more than a late 1st if Rosen is there.

If you’re lucky, you could have Rosen and a second round pick, you’re not getting the first round pick for him.

And that’s an overpay, which has been established by just about every poster above me as well.

Sometimes you have to overpay to pry the exact player you need.

I am also not bullish on Rosen being an effective top 6 nhler

Ahh so the masses are always right? Just like the vaccinated couldn't get Covid or the vaccines had no long term affects? Everyone thought the earth was flat at one point too.

Not that you care, but bringing politics and bull crap into this. Just earned you a block. Nobody needs that.

If you’re going to grossly overpay, go after a bigger prize. Bennett is good, but he’s not the only option. He’s a good target, because Florida desperately needs to cut payroll, and they could see Rosen as an inexpensive option to fill out the lineup.

He's a good target because he has the exact blend of speed and grit and skill that we don't.

Where is Rosens spot? I don't have kulich, savoie, ostlund or any other prospect here either

If they can get bennett to extend for a number that isnt totally ridiculous i think its well worth it, assuming the 24 pick stays outside of the top 10.

Not a fan of this draft class so Im all for selling high on the pick, but if it's in the top 10 Im gunna want the scouts to do the thing they seemingly are good at.
