A 3x5 for Stamkos would be really ideal and open up room for some more off-season spending. Sheary would need to sustain his performance to have any semblance of positive value, and Perbix could maybe fetch a late 3rd, much more ideal than a 4th. Duclair has looked great here, so I wouldn't be opposed to resigning him for a good rate, especially since we gave up a 3rd and one of our best RD prospects.

Agreed, if Stamkos is willing to take that deal, then he'll retire a Bolt. Tampa would also, in theory, be able to sign a higher quality dman like Hanifin, Walker etc with a couple of other minor moves. They could also do something like this and improve the middle 6 and add a lower cost dman(although personally I wouldn't target Tanev because of age, but who knows).

I would think based on how they have played so far, Duclair and Dumba re-signing would be more likely than Tarasenko and Tanev. Both want to play together, seem to gel with team so far, time living in/ enjoying Tampa Bay area might get them to some home town discount. Would also be better for JBB to sign them knowing how they play here, reduce risk of outside free agents not fitting in (like Sheary).

Wheeler is playing well with his low contract this year, so I suspect he can try to find a team to overpay him a bit more. Would like him here at that price but hard to see it.

Sheary has no value and likely would have to send a pick away to have someone take him. He also can make trader harder with partial no trade clause. I suspect more likely buyout unless he proves his worth the next 15 games and playoffs.

Stammer at 3X5 would be great and closer to what is needed for JBB to re-sign. Great value but the cap is our enemy.
