I'd rather reup Talbot or Rittich another year and have a shot at Roy than one year of Saros.

I know people are down on the Kings goaltending but both their goaltenders are top-10 in SV%, this has more to do with their strong defense, keeping Roy is essential to keep this going.

As my esteemed friend @tryger says, acquiring Saros is a fallback from, not an alternative to, re-signing Matt Roy, which should be the Kings' number one off-season priority. As Joey Daccord, Jacob Markstrom and Ilya Sorokin prove, having a starting goalie in the top 10 in both save percentage and GAA isn't much value if your defense is below par.

Not sure what Kaliyev brings to the table that just waiting another year for L'Heureux wouldnt accomplish or just roll the dice with Afanaseyev and see how that turns out.

Rittich isnt a starter and Talbot will be 37 but i get the idea. Kings have a really strong defense. What is their long term goalie plan?

Probably a short term goalie vet to bandage the next year or two.

Portillo is 3rd in SV% 6th in GAA as a first year pro in the AHL, Hampton Shulsky in his first year is leading the USHL. Pretty good work from the Kings who had neither asset until late last season.
