Description

I think Markstrom is done in Calgary. He’s obviously not happy with the management and I think he want to go to NJ. That said, I think that takes a 1st off the table. 2nd plus the odd man out goalie prospect is a fair deal for both.

My dream is the Devils signing Skjei. Would be a HUGE off-season acquisition to solidify their defensive core.

Blueger is a placeholder for a bottom six forward who can contribute on both ends of the ice.

The BIGGEST need though is coaching. Fire Rogalski and get Clemmer to be the goalie coach. Berube is my guy for the Devils.

After the fact, I think Crouse is a guy the Devils should target. Siegenthaler is the odd Dman out. Threw in a first too.

That’s why Schmid is going the other way. Can add another prospect or pick as well.

Actually with no urgency to move Markstrom the leverage is with Calgary. That offer is pathetic anyhow, it wouldn't even be close for Marky with no retention.
Ulmark probably costs a bit less than Markstrom. UImark is younger but only has 1 season left on his contract. If he comes with an extension then he's worth more.

AZ is not dealing crouse - only way would be huge overpay (top 6C or top pair) and this isnt close to that. the 1st is in 3 years not that enticing.
