Make it turcotte instead of kaliyev, also you have 1.8 mill in overages from Talbot and Byfield you're forgetting

The Tyler Toffoli signing then getting placed on LTIR has got me scratching my head. Why is he signed then placed on LTIR?

Is your point that we can't afford Tyler Toffoli? Because there's no way that his cap hit doesn't count against the limit.

Kaliyev doesn’t have this type of value. I wouldn’t trade Turcotte for Bahl personally. He’s flawed, but I still think Turcotte has upside

True but I know enough about overages. I don't know the date of when your cap is decided for when they apply the overages or if it is automatically charged next year. If someone goes on LTIR before the end of the year maybe there won't be an overcharge.
I just chose Bahl as a big potential 3rd pair defensemen who can move up the lineup, but that is good to know! Kings could move Turcotte, Kaliyev or picks for that defenseman.

I just didn't delete his signing after seeing if I could fit him into the cap space. If you don't resign Lizotte, Arvidsson, Grundstrom and get a cheaper goalie you could make it work.

LTIR prevents you from accruing cap. It won't help with overages.

Yeah just to show it won't work without moving on from some fairly important players. I tried to make it fit.

I think Turcotte is more valuable, hence why I would do Bahl for him, and even add slightly I think. The small savings in cap may be meaningful to LAK tho and turcotte may want/need a chance of scenery. I'd love to try and develop turcotte into a long term 3C option
