    But the return we got for those 2 later on made up for it! Seriously though, no idea what was going through his head just like most moves he made

    tbh i cannot imagine it did not also include a 1st ++ unless this was a long time ago.

    It was a long time ago but the reported trade was Dermott and Johnsson for Weegar and Dubas declined lol

    Even if true, there is an excellent chance the Leafs would not have been able to resign Weager as a UFA. Brodie isn't on LTIR. Muzzin wouldn't have been injured in the playoffs (the lineup and situation would have been different). so maybe Muzzin isn't on LTIR either.

    Brodie wouldn't have existed if we got Weegar, it was the offseason when we signed Brodie

    Now it would be a totally different package but I think this was when Weegar was on his final year of his deal before he got $3M with the Panthers
