We did trade a first for him and he has pretty much been injured for two years…. If Jake Allen is worth a second, one year of this guy is worth a second

Why would Carolina consider this? Blake is just a better prospect.

Mesar was a first rounder and Carolina has no ahl team, and there’s a much clearer path to the NHL for Blake in Montreal. They risk losing him for nothing if he continues to play through his senior year.

Or, they could sign him, and send him to the Wolves when the partnership agreement between the two is reestablished due to pressure from the AHL and the Wolves tragic season... Canes decline. Plus, they'd run into the same issues with Mesar, no logic to this deal.

Sharks aren’t going to be the team doing this but it’s going to be the asking price for Dvo knowing Hughes. And he’s probably going to get it like he did with Allen ( absolute fleece from MTL perspective)

Sharks are rebuilding and paying premium for a rental that is only slightly better than the guy we already have (Sturm) but makes double the salary is crazy.

as for Dvorak’s value, I’m aware of what you paid for him and at the time the value was fair. The issue here is his value has dropped off just Like Drouin’s did! It could be injuries or style fit or a combination of bad luck but he isn’t the same player you guys traded for.

Canes probably pass. It's a decently even swap, but I think the Canes would rather hang onto Blake after the season he had. In the off chance he refuses to sign, they may revisit this.

...no comment on the pens trade

It’s taking a lot of self control to not attack you and unleash hell on you for that penguins trade. What. Is that.

And like… you think Sid would be the second line center here? Are you joking? No shot he plays for you if you disrespect him like that.

You've included Anderson in a trade for Crosby! As a Detroit fan I've never been a big fan of Crosby but thats just not right!

Allen is useful and on a good contract. Dvorak is a cap dump

Possible - but he's still young enough and the last two seasons are enough in question due to injury that I still think he will fetch a 2nd.

If he wasn’t making almost 5 mil maybe, but his cap hit kills any value he may have. Maybe someone does pay a 2nd, but the sharks are not likely to be giving up a high 2nd for him.
