Ullmark does not waiver for Ottawa. Don’t want that shoulder made out of tissue paper. Way to big of a risk with that contract.

I still want to see what Ullmark’s list looks like with a real extension (not the crap mentioned in this AGM). If the new team offering him 4 or 5 years, 6M AAV with trade protection (higher AAV for less years) … I could see him prefer that than being traded to a team that will likely wait a year.

If you look at player surveys of least desirable locations to end up. Ottawa is in the bottom 5. It’s not really fair, pretty cool place. But locati9n, location, location combined with taxes, weather, entertainment options. It’s just not a place players want to be. Most players with at least 6 team NTC will have them on there. With half the league….

I don’t think the extension is anywhere near as important as the location is to Linus as you do. Not if you have listened to him at all.🤷🏻‍♂️

Stability for his family seems pretty important to him and I’m using the extension with trade protection as a proxy for that,

Maybe he signs in Boston for longer term, lower AAV, and stringent trade protections if Boston is open to it.
