It’s a fascinating hypothetical exercise about what package would one team take for their star young player, but these players generally don’t get traded because the team acquiring would never pay the premium required.

If Swayman were involved, I’d be wanting to include firsts and ask for Hirschier. NJ would never do that.

Massive package but frankly if I’m going to overpay it might as well be for Jeremy Swayman.

The real question is what will it take to get my glorious king Jesper Boqvist back in jersey.

Every time I watch a Chris Tierney shift I miss Boqvist more

Letting him go (unless he asked for a move) didn't make sense then and still doesn't. How much do you think he gets on his new deal??

I think he probably gets about 250k over the minimum for one year. Maybe they offer more for a little longer term.

If you thrown in your 2024 first rounder (post lottery of course), you can have Boqvist and Ullmark. smile

If I can get some retention on ullmark I'd personally do that

I’d retain on Ullmark and give up Boqvist for your 2024 first.

If we were GMs we'd have a deal then

I imagine Fitzgerald, or Lindy, or whoever on the NJD coaching staff (Hopefully it was Lindy and we can bring back Boqy) however is lower on boqvist then me (either that or Boqvist asked for a change in scenery), otherwise we'd have brought him back presumably.

No doubt. Kind of the same thing when I flagged Nosek back to the B’s.

The real question would be would Ullmark plus retention get the 2024 first round pick?

I’m still a little petrified that they are going to trade Ullmark and other considerations for PLD and a 2024 first.

I don’t pretend to know what Ullmark will covet more if a trade comes with an extension. People want to act all confident in what he accepts or doesn’t accept. July 1st window opens up a whole bunch of options for him and his mgmt staff

I feel like PLD+1st would be a ballsy move that I honestly wouldn’t be mad at for Boston.

If any team could get him to buy in it’s Boston. If he turns out and buys in you look like geniuses for getting a guy to be your 1C for basically free.

2nd rounder in 2025? big time overpay, but given that the bruins aren't really in a "lets get draft capital," mode, i think that's likely the price for them to remove a valuable piece of their lineup.

Any chance you could be convinced to trade him for Bastian?

i wouldn't, but that entirely depends on how bruins pro scouting views him. for the most part, i think if they want to do that trade, you don't. they've been pretty good at identifying under the radar pro players. zacha, geekie, JVR, and wotherspoon come to mind.

Too much for a goalie (any goalie)…too much positional risk to invest that much into one guy
