Probably three guys were don't waive their NMC. Leafs would better next season but starting in 25/26 probably better to have Minten, a first and 16m in cap.

Marner is best player in trade by a wide margin and Minten is an A or B+ prospect so no way we’re adding the 1st. But the point is moot - Marner is not waiving

Marner is better than Bratt but he's no so much better than Bratt that NJ would be willing to give up one of the best contracts in the league only to pay Marner 11+ million and handcuff their cap position and I hardly think that an additional 20ish pts is worth an additional 4-5 million AND giving up a top 10 Defenseman in the league
