there are other options that I'd rather the Sens explore instead, which could be both/either a better player or available in UFA rather than needing to give up assets. but this is backup option that I'd probably be fine with

We do not need to sign more D. Especially since they are playing well right now. Lindy will be the starter not Kuemps. Leonard will definitely be in the top 6. McMichael will get more.

Pass on all UFAs. Caps don't need more depth guys.

Would much rather have Van Riemsdyk for 3 mil than Dumba for the same amount of money. TvR's versatility along with how he's played this year makes him much more attractive to keep than Dumba. Somewhat of the same thing for Zadorov, Fehervary has proven himself as a top 4 guy, and with Alexeyev and Bear already around and Alexeyev particularly playing decent, it makes Zadorov a bit of an unnecessary signing, especially when a larger need at forward exists (especially if Oshie's done after this year).

They should spend 7.75M at D but should probably do it on one guy who is good instead of two who are bad

I would think that the Canucks are going to hold on to Zadorov
