Those trades make absolutely no sense for the teams that aren't the Islanders. Montreal doesn't need LD and wouldn't want Pelech's contract. Ducks don't need Pageau (and no team is going to pay to eat that contract). Ottawa doesn't have any reason to consider that package for both Chychrun and Pinto.

Chatfield, Henrique and Pinto are also being underpaid.

Ottawa would never do that. Mayfield is a 5/6 Dman and isn't worth 3.5 especially for 6 more years. Salo was Brian Strait levels bad he has no value. Holmstrom and the 1st are the only things of value and obviously won't get Pinto AND Chychrun

Pelech gets more than a 3rd, only reason he might not is due to concussions

And while others say Pageau has no value, assuming we take cap or retain we can probs get a 3rd

Pageau is a pure cap dump to the Ducks. Attach a 1st round pick and they *might* eat that 7.5M in actual dollars over 2 seasons for you. But I doubt it the Ducks are small market, small revenue. They pay the players that they want not the players you *don't* want.

I see from the fine print in your Team Description that Anaheim is a stand-in for "Any Team," which is correct because the Ducks have absolutely no use for two seasons of an expensive veteran center who is underperforming his contract.

1. It’s not that serious. These are fantasy line ups. The point is find a destination pelech would go to.
2. MTL is a -46 team in the bottom 5 of the league.. It’s wild for you to suggest that they’ll keep all of those dmen. Not very smart for them to go into next yr with this exact D, relying on 3 guys under 24 yrs old and 2 playing on their off side. If they want to speed up a rebuild they need to sure up their D now

Montreal are not bottom feeders because of the D, they literally have one of the best D core in the league even woth so many youngsters playing, the last thing montreal will trade for is a defenseman, period
