Canes pass. Armia is a cap dump, and there's nothing interesting there for Necas. One of Suzuki, Slafkovsky or Caufield is going to have to be involved to give Carolina a reason to move Necas.

Passing on the deal, I can understand that.

Wanting one of those three in return? An argument could “maybe” be made for a Necas/Caulfield trade, but for Suzuki or Slaf? What else are you adding to the deal for that to happen?

You're adding to Slaf for Necas, for Suzuki, who is by far the most interesting of the three for Carolina, there could be something added, but let's not get this mixed up. Necas is a 70 point winger. It's going to hurt to get him

I’ll say that’s not a bad offer for Necas, but the Canes will likely more so be looking for 1 quality piece vs quantity in a Necas trade scenario. Outside of Zegras, I don’t really see a comparable forward the Canes could trade Necas for 1 for 1, so if they can’t sign him, this may be the type of deal they have to settle for, with the intention of flipping the acquired futures for another player.

I’ll also mention that certain lunatic Canes’ fans may say that Suzuki would have to come back, which is absurd.

Sharks pass. Dvorak is a cap dump, but the 3rd is enough value to dump him for FCs.

No interest in swapping Mesar and Struvle for Bystedt.

Armia is big and good for puck protection and for pk especially in playoffs and Canes need that. Beck is 2way center much better than KK and should make the NHL next year. Barron was a first round pick and is a good offensive RD, with all the signing coming he gives flexibility and depth. There is also the first pick of 2025. I think these fill many needs for the Canes. I understand it might not be the perfect value but i don’t think it is that bad

Armia is a cap dump. Carolina's PK is already #1 in the league (or it was 2 days ago) they don't need anyone for that. Beck projects to be a middle six C. KK's still got top 6 upside, and is a dominant analytical force. Beck *might* make the NHL, Kotkaniemi *is* an NHLer, there's a major difference. Barron's fine, but he's not special. A late 1st isn't bridging the deal. Carolina needs scoring. If you want a scoring winger, you have to give up a scoring forward. Which is why we return to one of Caufield, Suzuki, or Slafkovsky

Dvorak to the Sharks is almost leaf level. this guy is injured and no productive at 4.4M. No GM going to day yeah i'll give you a top prospect for the ghost of Dvorak.
