I'd be happier than a pig in $hit if the Sharks signed Draisaitl. 😁

You guys are pretty sure you're getting screwed out of Celebrini?

It’s only a 25% chance of winning the lotto as the worst team. No team should be expecting to land 1OA

Really hoping the Ducks can snag Levshunov though, so I hope you’re wrong that he’s be SJ’s target

Given Chicagos recent surge, I wouldn't be surprised if they caught us in the standings for 3rd to last, at which point we're in the 2nd spot.

If Chicago does get to 3rd, and are given 1OA again, California might riot.

I guess some team might offer Leon that contract. But a 30 year old player for seven years, does have danger

A riot among Ducks and Sharks faithful is like a quiet murmur at best. And with CBJ and ARI rounding out the bottom 5, that story doesn’t change much. If it were fixed (which I personally don’t think it is), the league definitely isn’t scared of the bottom 5 fanbases that’d be upset about it

Will the Sharks be ready to sign a big fish like Draisaitl by 2025?

Really like your RD: Pesce, Roy, Levshunov

Overpaying 30 year olds is a time honored tradition in San Jose. Or this is Doug Wilson's burner account.

I was going to mention that.
But it seems to be something that many CF followers seem to have. Now admitting there are some even many, players that play effectively to age 35. But may decline at age 32 or so.
Seems foolish to pay a guy (not necessarily Draistail) who peak at age 29, then to offer them a huge long term deal at 30.
Gonna be interesting who signs Draisaitl, or even McDavid a year later.

Fair point. I'd argue that Draisaitl is a top-3 player in the league and should be worth that contract at minimum for 5 of those 7 years.

But regardless and more important than that, Sharks management should be desperate to get back some excitement for the fans, bring some excitement to the team. If they miss out on Celebrini, Draisaitl makes a world of sense as a free agent target to complement their young top-6 center in Will Smith, particularly given the team's plethora of cap space (and this situation assumes that Couture's 8mil doesn't go on LTIR to give them even more room). Plattner is also more than willing to spend.
