I like Gregor but we got our Pezzetta
I'd rather Pezz TBH as he doubles the hits in half the time similar roles as a bottom line forward.
That said without Kampf in the mix then Gregor could have a role here with Pezz on 4th line/13th forward

Kampf's term and cap is too high for what he brings to the table.
Kovacevic for Gregor and a 3rd i can live with though but Kampf added ruins it
We dont see value in him over 1.5m cap given what he offers as a 4th line Center at 29 with no higher upside

Kovacevic is a waiver wire pickup; Leafs can easily find better replacement in FA (higher cap hit admittedly but zero acquisition cost).

Habs pass, mostly because of the length of Kampf's deal.

And the fact that hes a 4th liner making 2.4 million

Brandon Prust got paid 2.5 and I think Kampf brings about the same value.

The Habs are gonna have a 17M 4th line next year anyway, so 2.4M would be a discount.

Bare minimum, that '26 3rd needs to be the '25 2nd (If ARI gives it back to you that is).

You need Kampf's contract gone, you want a quality cheap RHD, Gregor RFA rights doesn't add or subtract.

We'd be a '24 3rd for Kovy to begin with so in all honesty the '25 2nd would be a discount for the transaction when factoring the acquisition + dumping of salary (I don't mind Kampf for the record, but he's not a requirement for us and you need the cap space + the length of that contract isn't pretty, so you'll have to pay).

Montreal accepts but you can remove Gregor from the trade he holds no value for us
