The Blue Jackets match on Greaves. They are keeping him, thank you very much.

Gonna have to get a new coach if you want to play the kids like that.

Pfff... another Pens-fan trying to push Acciari to the Blues. We don't want him back unless you pay us for doing so. We certainly not going to offer assets for him.

DeBrusk is a mistake imo. Pens don't need a 4th middle 6 winger, they should pay the price for a young reclamation project and give them that icetime. Players like Kaliyev, Robertson, Krebs etc. someone with the talent and skill, but no opportunity.

Boston can do more with the cap space. Wouldn’t take him if the draft pick was going to Boston

That’s a question for Sully. Dubas has made it clear the team is getting younger.

That’s fine I was not sure if he was of any interest so I thought they might not qualify him.

He’s not a cap dump. We can just put him on waivers.

Then we can put him on waivers. I don’t even care about a 4th round pick.

He’s had a good season so someone will take him in a trade even if we do some retention. He’s a better option for your 4th line than what you have there currently.

I believe Don Sweeney can find a better combination for 2.4m in his sleep. It probably includes, but is not limited, to Danton Heinen who I know fits in the system well.

Also, it’s extra money you could allocate to a major player with the cap room and keep the minimum 4th line center than you already have in Boqvist. 1.6M doesn’t sound like much, but I think you can get a better player for 7.5 vs 6M AAV

Either way, it’s an easy no

That’s fine but there’s no real point for the blues to go for him right now without getting paid

honestly, those really aren't excuses for playing Carter at this point.
Frankly, both Shea and Ludvig can stay in the AHL.... where they belong.

it's just as much as a question for Dubas. Don't think he can't say... play the youth we need to see what we have.
It's evaluation time, because the year is over, and they got to start making decisions at some point. But hey.... lets play career over 38 year old or whatever carter.

Wdym? They literally cannot callup anyone else unless there is an injury
And they cant leave Graves and Carters spot empty, you are required to start every game with 20 players

yes, but Poulin was a scratch and Carter was starting. And you seem to think injury has anything to do with that.
You can just as well scratch Carter and play Poulin no?
But here we are. Poulin was scratched and Carter played.
Youth movement.
Maybe your not done making excuses for what happens on this team. I'm long past that.
There is no reason Carter should be on the ice over Poulin at this point. It servers no point.

I’m not so sure he can say that. What gives you the idea that he can step over the head of a coach as respected as sully and pick his lineup? That would require ownership being ok with that, which would mean Sully is on his way out. I want to see Carter in the press box and I’d be 100% fine with a coaching change but the later seems highly unlikely.

what makes you think Sully has any leverage not to?
The year is over.
They need to evaluate a younger player.
I'm pretty damn sure the GM can say, play the kid we need to see what he can do.
I mean that is part of being a GM is it not?

There is nothing to be gained by playing carter. Nothing.
He's gone in 8 games.
There is something to be gained in playing a 23 year old 1st round pick that they have never given a real chance. Is there not?

I mean it's pretty basic right?
But yet here we are. As much as you want to say... that's all Sully, it's not. The GM has a say.

I agree with you Id rather Poulin than Carter, but as I told you before POULIN WAS NOT SCRATCHED he was loaned to WBS so they didnt have to play with only 5D.

The coach picks who plays. The GM puts the team together. Unless the owners are ok with a GM stepping into the coach’s role and picking his team it’s simply not going to happen. I hope FSG and Sully agree to part ways this summer but it seems they have a very tight relationship and that probably won’t happen.
