If the Leafs wanted to do that, they should've kept developing him as a center.

Early on I believe they played him at center in the Marlies system. He would've been an ideal long term center for the Leafs.

Hey it didnt work the last few times, because ya know Nylander doesnt play in the defensive zone and one of his biggest pluses is his skating the puck up ice through the neutral zone which centers rarely get to do, but i'm sure it will work this time around.

Nylander at centre is definitely worth a shot imo. But I just don’t see Leafs trading Kampf or Jarnkrok - Keefe trusts them both. So it’s unrealistic to think we can sign both Pesce & Roy, maybe one (personally I prefer Roy). I also don’t see Domi signing for $2.5M, even at 8 year term which is outrageous.

Far too long a term for many of those UFA signings. "Any team" isn't a trade partner for players with M NTCXs
