Trying to have a good offseason

Description
Toronto are a weird team to wrap your head around, so I'm not 1000% sure what I'm doing here is good. The way I see it, a really cheap bottom six with some young pieces is the way to go. I think Teravainen could fit in really well in the Leafs top six, and Carrier would be a great fit (contract might be not enough $ though).

As for goaltending, Woll is generally good. I think you need a strong insurance policy, though, given he has looked wonky since his injury. Stolarz has been an excellent backup in Florida and is more than capable of forming a tandem if Woll is not able to fully take the reigns.

If they hold half, then i could see him as a possible Okposo replacement for our defensive line…. Maybe?

That's what I was thinking - maybe you'd have to hold a bit more salary but Jarnkrok at that price is a fine bottom six veteran with Okposo out

I think the Leafs would rather Kampf for the PK, it's been a lot better recently and he's been a key part of it...

And I don't see the Leafs: retaining on Jarny, signing Robo to anything more than 1.3 and signing Dewar to a 7 figure contract...

Also, you can't forget about Grebenkin, Niemela and any other prospect making the jump...

I know they probably won't do all these, but I think most of these would make sense.

I think, outside of Steeves, no prospect is ready to make the jump. Cowan should get 9 games and maybe he wows, but I think that's about it.

As for Kampf on the PK, he's still been generally bad this year, and outside of last year has historically been pretty bad on the kill for his career. Dewar is a high-end penalty killer who it would be much better to give 1.3 to than to keep spending 2+ for Kampf. Kampf is dead last on the team in any PK metric.

Lastly, on Robertson, he's third on the team in goals per 60 5v5. You need to take advantage of that and play him in the top six. I see no reason he can't challenge for 30 playing consistently with good forwards

Hawk's decline. Kampf takes at least a 2nd to dump.

Stick to the SENs bud; at least they’re not hard to ‘wrap your head around’ - their core players are just not good enough.
This is all kinds of wrong:
1/ start with cap going up next year, $87.7M
2/ Teurvainen is exactly NOT what this teams needs & at that cap hit, you best be joking
3/ Kampf and Jarnkrok aren’t getting traded; and they both have M-NTC which probably include the bottom feeder teams you trade them to

I forgot to adjust the cap, but I figured Carrier's contract might come in higher, so I didn't think it was necessary to fix it.

Now, if you think the Sens' biggest issue is their core players not being good enough, then I'll keep waiting for you to show some evidence of knowing anything about hockey before I consider responding to anything else you're saying.

I’d take basically the core 5-6 players off every team in Atlantic over SENs, only exception maybe the Wings or Habs but their prospect pools look dangerous.
Explain to me why they keep finishing out of the playofffs because - let me go down the list:
Coach sucks
Gm sucks
Goalie sucks
Bottom 6 sucks
Bottom pair sucks

SENs fans are running out of excuses; you’ll miss the playoffs seven straight years (most of them with this core, certainly the last 2-3) and your prospects t pool is one of the worst in the league ; I advise you face the hard truth now.

That RD would be pushed around by a 90yr old one legged woman. Carrier is the exact opposite guy the leafs need with Rielly.

Literally everyone I see proposed with Rielly is a bad fit - just because someone's big and good defensively doesn't mean he's a good fit. Parayko is a name that gets thrown around a lot, but his skills and Rielly's overlap too much imo and he's bad on the penalty kill. Gudas would be ideal but I don't think that's happening.
