Quinn is beloved as an Ottawa 67’s alum. A soft spot isn’t a great reason to spam the same trade is AGM’s (if that’s what was happening. But personal bias aside I think we can all agree there aren’t any Sens fans that would actually take a good prospect and a mid 1st for Tkachuk.

Certain players just don’t get traded. And when they do the team trading that guy away almost always loses. I’m pretty sure Calgary wishes they never traded Matt Tkachuk away, and the return no matter how good was never going to equal what they lost. Brady is not his brother, but he’s still quite good. Ottawa probably plans on having him stay captain, and eventually retire with the Senators. The team and the entire city have to sour on a guy like that for him to be traded away.
