I don’t think they do it but I also think it could make sense for Minny to deal him, get some solid assets and build up again

Definitely have to think about it. Rantanen is expensive and needs a new contract soon & is getting older. Colton is a bit overpaid but still a solid middle six guy. Lehky is a board beast who can compliment a top six line. Ritchie is a super prospect; should have been top 10 & he's still playing in the playoffs for Oshawa & dominating. MIN should consider bc of the remaining buyout years still & no guarantee Kaprizov re-signs after. Ritchie aligns with the buyouts.

That's a way worse offer than mine. Build your own roster if you like!

Uh, not really.

If you REALLY wanted Kaprizov, it would probably cost you:

Mikko Rantanen
Jean-Luc Foudy
Riley Tufte
Ivan Ivan
A Goalie Prospect
2024 1st Rounder
2025 1st Rounder (Which you don't have)
And a few lower down picks

If you want this man so bad, you should yell at your scouts.

That’s a bit extreme. The difference between Kap and Rant is minimal and the main factor to their differences in value is mainly the additional year of term. If they both made the exact cap hit and had the same term they would be a 1 for 1 and maybe a mid pick/prospect to balance

Lehkonen and Colton are good players but to call Ritchie a super prospect is actually absurd its just not enough I can assure you that deal gets beat 100/100 times Kaprizov is very easily a top 10-15 forward in the NHL especially on a different team

Well whatever gets him in an Avs sweater, I'm not one to worry about trade value bc its rarely what CF users think.

Plus, this is a response to last night's Avs victory where Kaprizov demands a trade to COL after

I whole heartedly agree which is why I would look at trade comps and it'd probably be somewhere close to tkachuk's return

Prospoal you made a has good logic Avs have trade cap in order to make the deal work. Minni gets the cap and some long term help plus the potential of the two young assets.
NIce thought on the trade.

Kaprizov is not worth giving up both lehkonen and ross the boss in my opinion, I don't know the contracts tho. Would it save the avs money.

I think the Kaprizov vs Rantanan question is a good one. Which is the better player? Rants is top 6 in the league scoring but plays with Mac, Kap is surrounded by lesser talent and is 17 in scoring.
They are both exceptional. At the end of the day I’d keep rants because he is ours.
