Why are you paying so much for Voronkov?

I guess, you need to pay a high price to get size

I’m just floored this isn’t a trade for KJ.

And CBJ pass. Voronkov looks to have a bright future, and is already more valuable than Dvorak, even with retention.

Jackets decline both trades. No need for Dvorak especially not for a third. Voronkov is borderline untouchable. One of the few bright spots for the jackets

Also the jackets won’t be giving up quality assets for quantity. Like the Habs they have too many young players and prospects and will be looking to move them for premium pieces like a top 6 forward

On total value, maybe. But it doesn't improve Columbus, and there's a very good chance that if Voronkov was traded he'd immediately go back to Russia (or at least once his contract is up). No need/want/desire for Dvorak, and ultimately we pass on trading Voronkov too.
