Konecny has one year left, NTU. Cowan is essentially untouchable imo, and 1st would only have been moved at past TDL for an impact top 4 RHD. We are in a really strong position for wingers moving forward.

I sort of figured it'd be a case of getting a crazy value piece back to really go in for a Cup run next year, but I could see why Toronto wouldn't want to move Cowan. Kid is going to be a stud

Hopefully another Konecny if he continues to progress 🤞

Yikes these trades are very bad. Almost troll worthy. Knight has been injured for so long his value is up in the air and that offer for Konecny is horrendous.

you have no idea what you are talking about lol

Don’t say anything truthful on this site or the mob will come after you! All of these trades are terrible for the Flyers. If you want Lundell so bad, offer sheet him! Knight makes no sense due to the off ice issues. Why don’t you just give TK away? Any TK trade will come with him signing an extension on his new team which would make his value go up. Ur essentially trading him here for a pick swap and a late 1st round draft player lol why don’t we just fold if we are basically gonna give our best players away for free? And why are we trading a 3rd and Attard for someone who is probably just a slightly better Attard?

If a Pens fan is on here telling you these trades make no sense for the Flyers, it’s probably pretty truthful considering they want to see us fail lol.

How has Cowan been? I remember when he first got picked people thought the pick was bad and he could've been a 2nd rounder.

He lit up the OHL this past year; if not the MVP - he’s pretty close. He’s on a great team but he’s been nothing short of fantastic - 2nd in ppg, led the league in short handed goals, had a 35 game point streak going when season ended. Looking like a steal at #28 🤞

Hey now, he had a lot of help from our steal from the London Knights too lol

If you're gonna give Konecny away like that, the Blues would love a word.

So would the Sens, the Stars, the Golden Knights... heck, every team that's not in a full rebuild

Basically none of what you said makes any sense.

1) You realize that players, you know... actually have to sign the offer sheet. Furthermore, even if they do, that means that you're not only handing them a bad contract, but creating hostility with other management groups and setting yourself up for retaliation in the future. As for adding Knight, you're getting a buy low candidate with enormous upside and incentivizing Florida to move Lundell by helping them shed salary. Lundell is one of 2 young Centers who are even semi-realistically available on the market, he's going to cost a lot

2) Upgrading a pick with like a 10% chance of yielding an NHL caliber player to a pick with a roughly 40% chance of yielding one + adding a guy who played at an MVP level in the OHL in his D+1 is sure a funny way of saying "free"

3) Valimaki is way, way better than Attard. FFS Attard is the same age as Valimaki and doesn't even have a fraction of the same quality resume on his career so far.

You're telling me you'd do Snuggerud and STL 2024 1st rounder for 1 year of TK and a 2nd?

I admittedly came in a little hot lol didn’t mean to be hostile or anything if it sounded like it. I don’t believe Knight is worth it. We have too many goalies in house right now that could turn into something and they should be the ones getting chances in a rebuild imo.

1. Yes I get the bad notion but I don’t see them trading him I see the only way to get him is through over sheet.

2. The TK trade just feels like a waste to me tbh. If ur doing that deal for TK the prospect has to be a top 10 prospect at minimum not a guy in the late 1st round that got out played by our third rounder. I mean Frost played like an MVP in the OHL too. I take it with a grain of salt unfortunately. Barkey played like an MVP this year on Cowan’s team.

3. I’m low on Valimaki and ur high on him so that’s just an agree to disagree no biggie

Exactly, and before you know it he's fetching a mid 1st and a solid prospect. tears of joy

Though it must be said the Knights cannot come close to affording him. But yeah, larger point.

Ehh both of those STL pieces are worth considerably more than both of those TML pieces.

Not really IMO, 16th vs 23rd in this draft class won't be a huge change in talent available at all and I genuinely prefer Cowan to Snuggerud as a prospect (at least relative to what the Flyers want and need)

You never know, with how much they're abusing the LTIR rule. I say raise the salary cap and take out LTIR at this point. It's getting embarrassing. (Except maybe for some players that you know will never come back, like Muzzin, Weber...)
