Can’t see the Canes only getting a late first and a third in 2025 for Necas.

With Necas being an RFA, Canes definitely get more than that.

As a more or less disinterested person, I think that Martin Necas, Cole Caufield and Trevor Zegras are in the same tier of high-quality young forward with the better part of their careers still ahead of them. (Over his last three seasons/234 games Necas has 164 points; over his 202-game career, Caufield has 146 points; both are right at about 0.7 PPG.) I don't think that that's enough for Cole Caufield, so I don't see that being enough for Martin Necas.
