This is a 2nd line winger
A huge potential RD in the bottom 4
A top 6 pick
2 2nd round picks

That’s a haul

That's not a bad haul, but I feel like there's multiple teams that could do better, although they're mostly in the East.

Crouse is not a 2nd liner, he s a 3rd liner, he would make OTT 3rd line the best in the league with Pinto and Joseph. that package don't get brady, no high end player, that is a must

I mean absolutely . The key is the top 6 pick tho.

If Columbus wants to do Jiricek or 4th overall ++ then im willing to listen

The pick is the high end piece. That gives us potentially Tij Iginla and Zayne Parekh which would be our future top liner and future top pair RD picked in this draft

this dont get brady, the first is a good start but the package falls short and would make OTT another bottom team next year witch they cannot afford to be.

Maybe if we can squeeze out a better younger piece than Crouse I’d be all over it .

If Brady is traded it’s gonna be for an insane package

Was talking about this recently with another Jackets fan. the 2024 first would 100% be on the table unless it's Celebrini, in my opinion. But negotiations would have to be made for the other pieces, and I don't think Jiricek would be on the menu there. Some of that is Jackets squeamishness to move him, but some is also that the kid is not ready. He had a fantastic D+1 last season but this year he's been genuinely bad in the AHL and NHL, and his poor skating is catching up to him. If Ottawa is looking to be competitive next season, I don't know that a project like Jiricek meets that goal. He is straight up not ready to be an NHL defenseman. I'd be looking at one of Chinakhov or Voronkov, maybe Kent Johnson except that he's out til October at the earliest, and lesser pieces like NHL-ready D already in Columbus, prospects, picks, etc.

I mostly just think NJ absolutely has the best offer for what Ottawa needs, whether that's centered around Holtz or Bratt, as has been discussed extensively today. They're just not the only ones (though I could see Columbus with Johnny or NJ with Jack would be the most likely who can afford it for Brady to agree to himself).

Coyotes gm gig once situated in Utah, could be the ultimate outhouse to penthouse sort of gig swap. If the purchase price is 1.25 billion, are they not going to make quite the splash? For the picks they have they don’t have the roster spots, so basically an abundance of picks to trade from, and an abundance of cap room to spend from. This is the anti Vegas build lol. I wonder who gets the next cup between the two, if Vegas fails this year. Every free agent may have to make the pilgrimage to Utah and see what kind of gold they can rustle up.

I think they’re focused on expansion when it comes to Houston and Atlanta. Quebec isn’t being mentioned.

There’s also talks they could expand with a new starter franchise back in Phoenix by 2030
