A team like Nashville I could see exploring this idea. Hawks would boost Ducks so much with this it would be insane. Giving the Ducks at least two top 10 picks plus 2 picks more that would be 10-20

This is bad. Like worse than usual. I get wanting instant gratification but the McTavish OS kills this team's sustained success in the future which is exactly what Bowman did to this team leading to a complete teardown and rebuild. You need to have players on ELCs to offset big contracts.

CHI isn't doing any of this. The rebuild will be over when the kids are all ready and established NHLers. Until then, most contracts that CHI signs will be short term and more than likely temporary. I certainly wouldn't mind going after McTavish, though. Also, did you even watch Nazar's debut last night? He IS NOT going to be a 4th liner. Wouldn't be surprised to see him solidified in the top 6 next season. Vlasic gets way more than that and stays on the top pairing.
