I see you're a Wings fan so won't go that hard on you. Rumors are the Kings and Bruins tried to make a trade already involving PLD and Ullmark which both teams agreed to however Ullmark because of his no trade clause said no so the trade didn't happen. So Ullmakr isn't coming to LA.

I appreciate the help! I didn't know it was PLD going back the other way, I figured it was danualt for cap reasons since him and ullmark have similar cap hits and it fits both team needs.

Thats just the rumor, the only thing known for sure is that there was a trade between Boston and LA involving Ullmark which Ullmark said no to. The other player/players going to Boston is just speculation but the thought is that PLD was the big piece going to Boston. So you could be correct and it could have been Danault however he also has a no trade clause and its highly doubtful he would waive to go to Boston.

The Kings aren’t trading Danault, but I do think value wise … they are similar players. The difference is the contract. Both Ullmark and Danault are very good. Put Ullmark in that Kings system and I think he will another Vezina if they can resign Roy too.

If a trade is going to happen between Boston and the Kings for Ullmark, it is going to include PLD. I’m curious what Sweeney would ask for in addition to PLD to make it work.

I’d watch for Jakub Dvorak, a D man who played for Swift Current this year. Sweeney and staff should have seen a lot of him with a goalie prospect on the same team. I also think Koehn Ziemmer is a player that Sweeney should like.

Ultimately, I think there is trade there if Ullmark is willing to waive his trade restriction for an extension
