You cannot construct realistic trades that benefit both sides by starting the process thinking about what assets you believe you can afford to give up. Instead, a good place to start is by asking yourself what the OTHER team needs that might induce them to trade you the asset(s) you're trying to acquire. For Anaheim, that's a quality RW or RD, or a sufficiently high draft pick to select one.

And to piggyback on the team needs train, the Canes need a clear cut 2C or a young winger replacement coming back for Necas. They have no need for D or D prospects.
