Toews > Rielly for sure

I’ve been wanting to see a McDavid-MacKinnon-Barzal line for Canada for awhile now. The speed would be insane

It might seem counterintuitive, but I think you'd be happier with Thomas centering the shutdown line.

Idk, haven't heard much about Thomas being at an elite level defensively - Marner and Stone are known for being Selke candidates year in and year out, and Suzuki's defense was elite this year. Besides I like Thomas on that third line instead of being stuck on the 4th

Where are people getting this notion that Suzuki was anywhere near elite defensively this year? I'm genuinely baffled. Is this another Dom thing?

Thomas plays just about the hardest competition in the league among forwards, and pretty much all his defensive stats are well above Suzuki's. He's probably going to finish top 5 in puck battles won again. He's better on draws, takeaways, transition play out of the D zone, and he's also on the #1 PK pairing. Defensively, there's no comparison.
